About Zinkworks

From OSS transformation to rApp development and network intelligence, our teams simplify complexity and turn it into competitive advantage. Based in Ireland and operating across the EU, UK, and US, Zinkworks combines deep domain expertise with delivery excellence to help clients modernize faster and operate smarter.
The Role
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own a new network-automation product, a development environment for building, testing, and deploying rApps and SMO-based automation.
This is a zero-to-one product role in its truest form. You will own the product from concept through prototype, early demos, and product-market fit, shaping what we build, proving it with real operator use cases, and turning working software into a repeatable, commercially viable product. This is not a role where you inherit a fixed roadmap and manage a backlog; you will define the problem, validate the direction, and drive the product from first prototype to first customers.
You will work at the intersection of RAN automation, AI/ML, and platform engineering, partnering closely with architects, engineers, presales, and Tier 1 operators. You will spend as much time in front of customers and building high-fidelity demos as you do shaping the roadmap.
You will join a small, senior product team focused on new product discovery and reporting into the VP of Product.
What You Will Do
Own a new network-automation product end-to-end, from problem definition and discovery through to first customers and early revenue.
Drive product-market fit: validate customer problems, test hypotheses, and adjust direction based on evidence rather than assumption.
Translate operator pain points and market signals (RFPs, RFIs, industry standards) into a clear product vision and prioritized roadmap.
Partner with engineering to plan and ship high-fidelity prototypes and demos used to probe the market and de-risk direction.
Run discovery sessions and demos with Tier 1 operators and ecosystem partners, and feed what you learn straight back into the product.
Define what “good” looks like for the product, from developer experience to the automation outcomes it delivers.
Work closely with presales and delivery to ensure the product is both buildable and commercially compelling.
Represent the product credibly with senior technical and commercial stakeholders, internally and with customers.
What You Bring
Proven product management experience taking products from zero to one (concept, prototype, product-market fit, and first customers) rather than managing an established backlog.
Strong domain experience in RAN automation, SMO, or rApp development, for example with platforms such as Ericsson's Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP), Nokia MantaRay, or comparable SMO / Non-RT RIC / network-automation environments.
A solid understanding of the telecom and OSS landscape: RAN operations, network management, service assurance, and how automation and AI/ML create value across them.
The ability to move fluidly between customer discovery, roadmap definition, and hands-on collaboration with engineering.
AI/ML literacy, with the ability to articulate how machine learning applies to network and operations use cases for both technical and business audiences.
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to whiteboard with engineers and present to executive stakeholders.
A bias toward evidence and momentum, comfortable operating with ambiguity, making decisions with incomplete information, and iterating quickly.
Willingness to travel periodically to meet customers and partners across Europe.
Nice to Have
Experience bringing a network-automation, SON, or OSS/BSS product to market.
Familiarity with the O-RAN and TM Forum ecosystems and the rApp / SMO standards landscape.
Background in a startup or new-product environment where you built the product function as much as the product.
Hands-on technical background (software, data, or network engineering) that lets you engage deeply with engineering teams.
