The Opportunity

We are partnering with a major UK Telecommunications provider to deliver their flagship Agentic AI transformation programme, redefining how telecom networks are operated through intelligent, autonomous systems.

We are seeking a Senior Telecoms & Network Architecture Lead to act as the domain authority across RAN, Core, OSS/BSS, and network automation, shaping how autonomous AI agents are applied to real-world telecom operations.

This role focuses on telecom architecture, operational models, and use-case definition, working in close partnership with the Software & Platform Architect.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the telecom domain architecture across RAN, Core, OSS, and network management layers.

• Define how Agentic AI use cases map to real telecom operational workflows.

• Lead solution design for network automation, assurance, optimisation, and orchestration.

• Act as the Design Authority for telecom and network architecture decisions.

• Ensure alignment with telecom standards, operational models, and regulatory requirements.

• Provide architectural oversight for integrations between network systems and the AI platform.

• Partner with senior client stakeholders to shape the target operating model.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years operating as a Senior or Lead Telecom / Network Architect.

• Deep domain expertise across RAN, Core Networks, OSS, and network automation.

• Proven experience designing large-scale, distributed telecom systems.

• Strong understanding of telecom operational workflows and assurance models.

• Experience shaping transformation programmes for Tier-1 or large telecom operators.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with software and cloud architecture teams.

• A telecom domain expert who can translate complex network problems into clear architectural patterns.

• Comfortable engaging with CTO, Network, and Operations leadership.

• Confident articulating and defending telecom architecture decisions.
