The Opportunity

We are partnering with a major UK Telecommunications provider to deliver their flagship Agentic AI transformation programme. From our Innovation Hub in Athlone, we are building a CTO 2.0 ecosystem, transitioning the client from legacy, manual workflows to an intelligent, automated operating model powered by Autonomous AI Agents.

We are seeking a Senior Software & Platform Architect to lead the design of the core Agentic AI Platform, responsible for the cloud-native architecture, AI enablement, security, and developer frameworks that underpin the programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the high-level architecture of the Agentic AI Platform on Google Cloud (GCP).

• Define cloud-native microservices patterns, orchestration, and deployment models.

• Design secure integration between AI models, vector databases, data pipelines, and APIs.

• Establish governance frameworks for Generative AI, including RAG architectures and compliance controls.

• Define and govern API standards (OpenAPI/Swagger) and event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub).

• Act as Design Authority for platform and software architecture across delivery teams.

• Collaborate closely with the Telecom Architect to ensure platform alignment with network use cases.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years operating as a Senior or Lead Software / Solution Architect.

• Deep expertise in GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, Apigee, IAM, networking).

• Proven experience architecting AI-enabled platforms using LLMs, Vector Databases, and Big Data pipelines.

• Strong mastery of microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven design.

• Experience designing secure, scalable enterprise platforms.

• Hands-on proficiency across at least one additional cloud provider (AWS or Azure).
