The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will take ownership of the frontend for a greenfield, user-facing enterprise dashboard within a large-scale telecom transformation programme. Operating from our Innovation Hub in Athlone, you will design and build intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that allow users to explore, visualise, and act on complex, real-time data.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy and ownership, is comfortable making UI and UX decisions independently, and enjoys bringing clarity and structure to complex datasets. You will work as part of a cross-functional Scrum team alongside backend engineers, AI engineers, and solution architects.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the frontend development of a greenfield enterprise dashboard application using React.

• Design, build, and iterate on interactive UI components for exploring large, complex datasets.

• Define UI structure, interaction patterns, and styling, taking responsibility for UX decisions in the absence of a dedicated designer.

• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and data services in close collaboration with backend engineers and architects.

• Ensure high standards of code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.

• Optimise frontend performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.

• Participate fully in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Help define and evolve frontend standards, tooling, and best practices as the platform grows.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of frontend development experience with a strong focus on React.

• Proven ability to design and implement UI/UX patterns without dedicated UX support.

• Strong experience building data-heavy interfaces, including charts, tables, filters, and dashboards.

• Solid understanding of frontend architecture, component lifecycles, state management, and performance optimisation.

• Good knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles.

• Proficiency with Git and experience working in Agile delivery environments.

• Experience collaborating closely with backend engineers and architects.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with data visualisation libraries (e.g. D3, Recharts, Chart.js).

• Exposure to telecom, OSS/BSS, or other complex enterprise data domains.

• Experience working on cloud-based or microservices-driven platforms.
